My name is Bill Whittenberger, and I am a Past Master of East Palestine Lodge #417, in East Palestine, Ohio. I make my living building and maintaining web sites through my company EcoLake Enterprises, LLC. I typically charge my commercial customers $500 to $1000 to build their site, and usually $400 per year for hosting and maintenance.
As a special service to the Fraternity, I will build a site for your Lodge for $75. I will also host and maintain it for $75 per year. As you can see, this is a SIGNIFICANT discount below my commercial rates. The only reason I charge at all is that I have some out of pocket costs that need to be covered, and I want you to appreciate that the site has some value.
This is NOT one of those dumb looking free sites with ad banners splattered all over - it is a professionally designed site that our Fraternity deserves.
If I can get enough Lodges on board, I plan to add some interesting utilities to these sites - admin functions that allow you to easily update calendar, news articles, officer lists, and the like. I also plan a comprehensive database to handle your membership list - so anybody in your Lodge (with appropriate password) can get to or update the member roster. This will also allow mass email to your members so equipped, so that you can save money on postage and newsletters.
